Maine is my soul place — a place I love deeply. A place where I understand myself in relationship with the land, seasons, and people. 

 

In my artistic work I am drawn to "off-season" Maine — to the places that are a little quieter and a little more disheveled than one might expect when thinking of “Vacationland”. I love the purplish quality of light across fields in November and how tidal marshes develop hints of lush green in April.

On a broader level, I am also interested how cultural identities shift as traditional industries and populations change. I believe strongly that Maine should be a welcoming place for all people in all seasons. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about my work.
